EDEX Cookies Policy

What are cookies?
A cookie is a small text file that is stored on your device every time you use the EDEX platform so that we can provide you with the functionalities and services related to the platform and analyze your preferences.
The cookies we use in EDEX are either owned by our systems (EUROPEAN DIGITAL EXCHANGE S.A.), or belong to third parties, or service providers of EDEX, as will be described below.
Please keep in mind that during the use of the EDEX platform, there may be changes regarding the cookies used. If such changes occur, we will update this Cookies Policy and notify you accordingly.
However, always we will ensure that the way we use cookies meets the requirements below.
Why do we use cookies?
Whenever we place or read cookies on your device, we have a specific purpose and reason for doing so, for example:
- Necessary cookies – we use strictly necessary cookies because they are essential to be able to use EDEX and to benefit from its functionalities. For example, without such cookies you will not be able to carry out simple actions, such as creating a distinguishing user and maintaining the security of your session.
- Analysis cookies – we use third-party cookies to collect information about how you interact with EDEX and to improve your experience within EDEX (time spent on the site, clicks on buttons, pages visited).
What is the basis for using cookies?
We place and access the information (i.e., not necessarily personal data) related to strictly necessary and functional cookies on your device, to provide the functionalities and services related to the EDEX platform, explicitly requested by you, when you were by the Membership Agreement. We place and access information related to analysis cookies based on your prior consent.
We process personal data resulting from or in connection with cookies strictly necessary to execute a contract, while the processing of personal data resulting from or in connection with analysis cookies is carried out based on your prior consent.

How to control and delete cookies?
You can control cookie settings very easily by accessing the Cookies Settings function within the EDEX platform. There you will find a page of cookies, distinguishing between the categories of cookies for which you can easily withdraw your consent. Please keep in mind that you will not be able to withdraw your consent for necessary and functional cookies because they are strictly necessary for providing the EDEX application. Such cookies can be blocked using ad-blocking mechanisms or using the general cookie settings of the device. In this case, however, the functionalities of the EDEX platform will be affected to the point where the platform can no longer be used.
